Join us for an exciting evening at Sea Rocket Bistro in North Park in the company of friends, as we celebrate the holiday season. Guests will enjoy a festive holiday setting while sipping tantalizing organic beverages and sampling sustainable seafood and other delicious fare.  The first 20 people to arrive will be invited to a special Sea Urchin demo and tasting by local Sea Urchin diver Mitch Hobron AND Debra deFarcy from TGIC Importers & Wholesalers will be pouring a selection of boutique, hand-crafted wines from California.  There will be several raffle drawings for exceptional prizes, including gift certificates from Sea Rocket Bistro, a Christmas tree from Adopt-A-Christmas-Tree, home cleaning services from Cleanology and a spa gift package from The Chopra Center for Wellbeing.

What makes the evening extra special is our charity partner La Reserva Forest Foundation and their profound commitment to the recovery and preservation of indigenous tropical rain forests in Costa Rica.  It began nine years ago on a 100 acre dairy farm.  The farm’s owners, Dan & Roberta, planted tree bridges to connect the few forest islands that remained on their farm, noting that animals could then move from one stand of trees to other forested areas without exposing themselves to predators on the ground.  This inspired Dan & Roberta in 1998, to allow forests to regenerate naturally on the entire property, creating a private forest reserve.  And so La Reserva was born…
