Culture.licious Vietnamese Cooking Event with Minh (Mississauga)
Thursday, 4 October 2012 at 6:30 PM (EDT)
Who's our Culture.licious Cook for this exciting event?
Minh was born in the southern part of Vietnam – Ho-Chi Minh City (aka Saigon).
The former name Saigon is still widely used by many Vietnamese, especially in informal contexts. Minh spent her childhood years under the communist party The Vietnamese People’s Army rule in the 80’s.
Minh will tell you Southern Vietnamese cuisine is very “delicate” compared to the more starchy dishes from the North. The Southern dishes are composed of different textures and flavours from a variety of ingredients that make up a dish. During her class you will learn about how to make lemongrass pork chop, flavor combinations of a dish as well as how to make a authentically beautiful fresh roll.
