The name Ho'omana in Hawaiian means "to worship", and is synonymous with traditional Hawaiian and Christian Hymnals with a dash of Reggae. As a loosely organized band of five members originally called "Monterey All Stars" they performed as an opening act for the South Seas Island Jam in Monterey, CA on October 21, 2001. Today, they have become one of the most sought after Hawaiian musical groups on the West Coast.Ho'omana has seen a few changes over the years. The five members have become three; the sound is tighter, with six-string rhythm and slack-key guitars, ukulele and electric or upright bass. The music has also evolved, but despite the changes, it has remained unique, sound instantly recognized: fresh arragemennts of traditional, contemporary Hawaiian, Reggae and Christian melodies with beautiful three-part harmoies. Ho'omana has two CDs to their credit, with first release in 2004 called "Kanani Ahiahi", and second demo CD with four songs released in 2010. Their next release called "Ho'olokahi" with 13 songs will be available in September 2012.The group members include Robert Uncangco on lead & background vocals and 6-string rhythm guitar, Manley Bush on lead & background vocals and 6-string slack-key guitar & ukulele and Eddy Navarro on bass and background vocals.
