An educational excursion to Palm Beach’s Norton Museum of Art and Gavlak Gallery.

Join us for MOCA’s Fall Road Trip and experience art in Palm Beach. This excursion created specifically for MOCA members to enjoy and learn more about contemporary photography.

 

MOCA guests will enjoy:

Gavlak Gallery
Sarah Gavlak, who represents MOCA Collection artist Philip Esland, will have a reception and tour of the gallery.
Sarah Gavlak is an independent curator, writer, and private art dealer. Gavlak gallery showcases the work of primarily international emerging and established artists including Jose Alvarez, Lisa Anne Auerbach, Carolyn Carr, Phillip Estlund, Wade Guyton, Miyeon Lee, Marilyn Minter, Aleksandra Mir, Alexis Marguerite Teplin, Pae White, T.J. Wilcox and Rob Wynne. Gavlak artists range in media from painting, collage, video, and installation.

The Norton Museum of Art
The Norton Museum of Art recently named Tim B. Wride as Curator of Photography, who will take members through a tour of their photographic archives and tour the 2012 exhibition for the Rudin Prize Emerging Photographers. The emerging photographers will be selected by a panel of five established photographers. This year the panel comprises John Baldessari, Graciela Iturbide, Susan Meiselas, Michal Rovner, and Yinka Shonibare.
