Meet the Chef: ORO - A Downtown Raleigh Restaurant Week Event

Downtown Raleigh Restaurant Week is here, so triangle.com and the Mouthful blog want you to meet the chef at one of downtown's newest eateries, ORO Restaurant and Lounge.
Help us kick off the annual dining week by meeting Executive Chef Chris Hylton on Monday August 20 at 7:30 p.m. He will introduce each course and you will be able to ask him about his style of cooking and the vision for ORO.
During this exclusive event, you will also get to meet Wine Director Jim Soffe, who will discuss ORO’s innovative on-tap 16 wine system as well as provide recommendations on wines that pair well with their Downtown Restaurant Week menu. Also, Executive Sous Chef Lauren Smaxwell will discuss the dessert course for the evening.
For attending the event, you will receive a restaurant week menu signed by Chef Hylton and an extra dessert treat to take with you. Also, registered attendees will have a chance to win a $30 gift card to ORO.
Since it will be Downtown Raleigh Restaurant Week, the menu will be the three-course, prix fixe dinner for $30. There are only 30 spots available so please register. The deadline to register is August 20 at 2 p.m. You may register for yourself and one guest.

ORO is located at 18 E. Martin Street on the corner of Martin and Wilmington Streets. Parking is available on the street or in the Moore Square Station parking deck near the restaurant.
Note: You will pay at the restaurant after dinner. Any beverage (alcoholic or non-alcoholic) will be charged at menu prices.
