Business Continuity Planning for Law Firms

Business continuity planning is grabbing more attention now than ever before...

40% of all companies hit by a disaster go out of business
93% of companies that experience significant data loss are out of business within five years
8 out of 10 small businesses are not prepared for a disaster situation

While business resiliency is a top priority for executives and stakeholders, how do you plan for the unknown?  With the current economic conditions, most businesses are working overtime to simply stay in business. Preparing, implementing and maintaining a Business Continuity Management System (BCMS) is extraneous.  However, threats of a serious pandemic, violence in the workplace, major power outages or natural disasters have concerned many business owners, as they are responsible for not only continuing operations with a reduced workforce, but more importantly, keeping their employees safe.  Businesses can take simple steps to prepare for business continuity, all of which will ultimately contribute to a BCMS.

Key topics will include:

·         Introduction to Business Continuity Management Systems

·         Common business Risks

·         Pandemic: Prepare or Panic?

·         Industry standards and examples

·         Steps to take now

·         Steps to take once a plan is in place
