Day One – THURSDAY – october 18, 2012 – 8:00AM – 5:00Pm
Session A – introduction to landscape irrigation maintenance in florida
This course is an introduction to the principles of operation and management of irrigation systems, specifically as applied to operating costs and water efficiency. The course will cover basic irrigation components, obtaining site information, underground piping systems, sprinkler performance, control systems, operating and maintenance procedures, irrigation codes and standards, and smart technology.
- Registration fee is $100.00 per attendee for members, and $135.00 per attendee for non members. Attendees will be provided a one (1) hour break from 12:00pm – 1:00pm for lunch on their own.
- For Contractors needing CEU’s in Volusia, Lake, Pinellas and Dade Counties this eight (8) hour course provides eight (8) General CEU’s.

Day Two – friday – october 19, 2012 – 8:00am – 11:00am
Session B – LANDSCAPE IRRIGATION RULES AND REGULATIONS
Due to water conservation efforts the State of Florida and local municipalities have adopted new rules and codes to regulate the design, installation, and management of landscape irrigation systems. This course will cover an introduction to rules and regulations, local ordinances, regional rules and regulations, State rules and regulations, and national rules and regulations.
- Registration fee is $40.00 per attendee for members, and $65.00 per attendee for non members.
- This three (3) hour course provides one (1) General CEU’s, one (1) Business Practices CEU, one (1) Laws & Rules CEU for Lake and Pinellas Counties, and three (3) General CEU’s for Volusia County and Dade Counties, and two (2) Law and Rules CEC’s as well as one (1) Optional CEC’s for Landscape Architects. Day Two – friday – october 19, 2012- 12:00noon – 1:00pm
Session C – understanding workplace safety programs
This course will provide an overview key of an effective safety plan, implementing an effective safety plan, and explain the concept of loss history and utilizing it to improve safety.
- Registration fee is $20.00 per attendee for members, and $35.00 per attendee for non members.
- This one (1) hour course provides one (1) Workplace Safety CEU for Lake and Pinellas Counties, and one (1) General CEU’s for Volusia County and Dade Counties.

Day Two – friday – october 19 2012- 1:00pm – 2:00pm
Session D – understanding worker’s compensation insurance
This course will provide an overview of the general issue that worker compensation laws address, and recent legislative changes.
- Registration fee is $20.00 per attendee for members, and $35.00 per attendee for non members.
- This one (1) hour course provides one (1) Worker’s Compensation CEU for Lake and Pinellas Counties, and one (1) General CEU’s for Volusia County and Dade Counties.

If the County requires that you must have 1 CEU in Advanced Building Code and 1 CEU in Wind Mitigation you will have to acquire those CEU’s elsewhere.
