Greetings, people of the world!
After three great reviews, packed houses, and audiences who literally jumped out of their seats and threw beer cans (fortunately, hitting no one), we at Refraction Arts have decided there’s only thing left to do with this crazy little thing called The Assumption:
EXTEND IT!
That’s right, we’re adding four more performances for your hollering, happy viewing pleasure!
Seriously. This show is kicking ass and stealing hearts -- hardened theatre artist and drunken frat boy hearts alike.
That's bonafide.
So come on over to the stompy, dirty, wet, wacky, dark side. The water's cold,
and so's the beer, but the kung fu is hot and spicy (or sweet and tangy, depending
on what night you come).
The Austinist said about The Assumption, " It's intelligent, it's creative, and it's a damn good time. We highly recommend it." And they called Jeffrey Mills' performance, "knock-down, drag-out, holy-shit hysterical."
The Austin Chronicle says, "[T]he tunes are catchy, and the band rocks."
The Austin American Statesman said, "Refraction Arts' The Assumption assumes there's a group out there with a combined love for Miller High Life, Kung Fu and "Hamlet." If you're not part of that demographic, you might want to join."
