The LA Geek Dinner is joining forces with the German American Business Association (GABA) for a special presentation that will blow your mind at the Hollywood Laserium!

Remember when Pluto was downgraded as a planet? Well it was Dr Charles Baltay, who lead the way (by discovering several new planets in out outer solar system.) Dr Baltay will speak about his work, then we will hear from the founder of the Laserium, Ivan Dryer, then it's time to sit back and enjoy a Laser performance of Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon.

Scientists, Lasers, Pink Floyd! You don't want to miss this once in a lifetime Geek Dinner.

We will meet at 6pm at a nearby restaurant (pls hold for details) and join the theatre at 7pm. (You are responsible to cover the cost of your own dinner before the event).

Your ticket price above covers the cost of entrance to the Laserium and the speakers. This is a special presentation not open to the public. We will have the entire theatre to ourselves, so behave ;-)

Agenda:

6:00 - 7:00 pm Dinner at Kung Pao Kitty at 6445 Hollywood Blvd (http://kungpaokitty.com)/. You are responsible for your own dinner, however we will be getting a 20% discount off regular prices. (Ask for the Geek Dinner/Laserium Party)

More Details

Experience this exclusive, private showing of Hollywood's newest attraction, The New Laserium Cyber Theater Show. Be among the first to see the latest laser light show technology set to music featuring the highly acclaimed "The Dark Side Of The Moon" music by Pink Floyd.

In addition, a presentation by Dr. Charles Baltay, Higgins Professor of Physics and Astronomy, and Chairman of Physics Department at Yale University. Dr. Baltay lead the team that recently found several new planets in our own solar system and was personally responsible for the controversy regarding the status of Pluto as a planet. This will be a non-technical presentation on these very important discoveries including a discussion on why our universe is actually expanding. A brief question and answer session will follow.

Plus, introductory remarks by Ivan Dryer, creator of LASERIUM and President of LASER IMAGES, INC., recognized as the pioneer of the laser entertainment industry. In addition to its world-renowned LASERIUM laser concerts, Laser Images manufactures and installs customized laser projection systems for theme parks, expositions, museums, and shopping and entertainment centers all over the world. He opened the world's first LASERIUM Laser Show at Griffith Observatory in 1973 and thus founded the now world-wide laser display industry.
