Try Being Me for a Day Our children’s physical environments are often stimulating and exciting. But what if our children are unable to filter out those stimuli? “Try Being Me for a Day” is an interactive and unique workshop that provides parents, professionals and caregivers the opportunity to experience how it feels to be a child who struggles with learning and behavior challenges. Participants will be led through a series of fun, interactive activities that simulate what these children experience daily. You will leave this workshop inspired to try new ways to help your child learn and increase their self esteem, while better understanding their behaviors and motivations.

AFABC is a non-profit organization that provides province-wide support services and information to people who are beginning to think about adoption, people who have decided to adopt, and those who have already had a child or children join their family. AFABC also plays a significant role in promoting awareness of the thousands of BC children in the care of the Ministry of Children and Family Development, who are waiting for a family.
AFABC was started around a kitchen table in 1977 by a small group of adoptive parents who needed to share ideas, information, and support.
