Navigating the New York School & Testing Systems
Thursday, September 20, 2012 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM (EDT)
New York, NY
The New York City school system is difficult to understand for any foreigner and the admissions process is a challenge to navigate at the best of times. This seminar will give you a brief overview of the different options, application timelines, zoning and pros and cons of private vs. public shooling. One little known facts to newcomers are the different tests available to parents and their children, which can influence the future of your child considerably.
With so much to worry about with applications, Bright Kids NYC is committed to making the test-taking portion as stress-free for families as possible. Seasonally, Bright Kids demystifies the ERB, OLSAT, and Stanford-Binet, giving parents all the information you need about:
- When your child should take the test and begin preparing
- What scores are necessary for successful bids to top schools
- How the tests are administered
- How the tests are scored
- Best strategies for preparation
