Please join us for a two-day conference featuring preaching from young preachers recruited by Beeson Divinity School and the Academy of Preachers. Plenary sessions will be led by Dr. C. David Keith from Mercer University; Rev. Dr. Robert Smith from Beeson Divinity School; and, Rev. Frank Woodson from Mission Birmingham.

The prophet Isaiah reminds us: “For thus said the Lord GOD, the Holy One of Israel: In returning and rest you shall be saved; in quietness and in trust shall be your strength.” Isaiah 30:15 (NRSV)

Preaching titles and texts—and conference plenary sessions—will consider our wired and urban by seeking to address two questions:

1. How do we understand Sabbath or Sunday in this environment?
2. How does the Fourth Commandment, the Sabbath or Sunday mandate serve to promote contemporary personal and corporate spiritual formation?

The conference will feature three hosted meals: Monday and Tuesday lunches, and a banquet on Monday evening. The cost for registration, meals, and materials is $29; $15 for students. Tickets are non-refundable.
