Our Intensive One Day Introduction is designed for new writers wanting to get started with writing for the big or small screen.
The day covers:
- Structure
- Character
- Dialogue
- Formatting
By the end of the day you will be ready to writing your own scripts! We also offer a follow on weekly group to develop your writing further.
You do not need any experience to attend this course. The day is informal and informative with practical hints and tips for getting your ideas written down.
Writing can be a lonely task. This session is a great opportunity to meet other new writers and share experiences.
On the day all you need is a pen and paper - a writers best friends.
After the 1 day introduction you'll be invited onto the 6 week script development course where you can put the theory into practice and start writing your own scripts or/and you can attend our afternoon check point session where you can get feedback on your work in a forum environment.
The session is ran by Beth McCann. Our tutor is a lecturer in scriptwriting at Salford & Bolton University and a guest speaker a various writing organisations. She has also ran the Northern Film Network and has been a script consultant for the regional screen agency.
***The one day course is just £55 however if you book before the 5th September it is at the reduced price of £50 .
The 6 week script development group is £49.50 if you book both at the same time you'll receive 10% off.***

6 Week Development Group
The 6 week development group is an opportunity to put the theory into practice and get feedback on your work. You can work at your own pace and will be steered by the facilitor as to what to do next with the development of your script.
Current participants are writing short films, TV series and films. It's a great chance to share ideas, keep motivated and build a portfolio of work.

This session is an opportunity to get feedback on your work. You can bring with a extraxt of work up to 10 pages to get feedback and pointers. This is a great opportunity to keep you motivated and develop your writing further.
Please note all our courses are booked on a first come first served basis.
