Event Details
Learn the unique skill of wood-turning from an expert wood lather and turner. Paul has been teaching his discipline for 16 years, including 10 years of Adult Education, running clubs and teaching one on one in his very own studio. As vice-president of the Surrey Association of Wood-turners, you'll be learning from a real master.
During this workshop Paul will teach you all about wood-turning, how to use a lathe and how best to polish up your wooden creation to make it as beautiful as possible! You'll get to watch an experienced wood worker demonstrating his craft, have a go yourself and at the end of the day take away your own bowl made from beautiful American walnut wood!
You don't need to have any experience in wood-turning or general carpentry skills to attend this activity and Paul has promised that you will all get to take home your very own beautiful polished and styled bowl from American walnut and be able to say "I made that" to all your friends and family!
All lathes, tools, wood block and materials, plus tea and coffee will be supplied.
