The Arts & Sciences Department is excited to host Dr. Peter Lillback on our campus. Dr. Lillback will be presenting a lecture about George Washington's religious beliefs, which he discusses in his popular book George Washington's Sacred Fire. 

Dr. Peter Lillback is President and Professor of Historical Theology at Westminster Theological Seminary in Philadelphia, Pa. Dr. Lillback also serves as the President of The Providence Forum, the non-profit organization that is committed to preserving and promoting America’s spiritual roots of religious and civil liberties. He holds degrees from Cedarville College (BA), Dallas Theological Seminary (ThM), and Westminster Theological Seminary (PhD). He has authored several books and numberous articles and other publications. In 2006, Dr. Lillback’s best seller on the Christian faith of George Washington was released. George Washington’s Sacred Fire represents the culmination of over 20 years of original research and scholarship. Lillback is a frequent lecturer on many world-view issues, has appeared on panels broadcast by C-Span, and is the voice of the radio program Proclaiming the Word.
