Back by popular demand, the crazy pastor and rabbi combo returns in retreat form!

As the political polarization becomes increasingly extreme leading up to the November election, true dialogue is increasingly rare. We are so accustomed to categorizing one another that we have lost the art of listening to one another and really trying to see things from another’s viewpoint. Join Rev. Penny Nixon and Rabbi Jhos Singer as they lead this workshop.

What keeps us from being our best selves when we are faced with those who hold wildly different political or religious views from our own? In this workshop we will get beneath some of the reasons why Political and Religious differences are so divisive and will learn some ways to frame those differences so that we can engage in better diaglogue, conversation and debate. At a time when our country is being wracked by these fissues, we will take on the first steps in closing some of those gaps in a spiritually sensitive and safe environment. We will take a moral inventory, do some small group work as well as engage in thoughtful discussion and learning about what values we hold most dear and the role those values play in the formation of our moral compass.

$20 suggested donation to offset cost. Light lunch provided.
