Overview:  The 36th running of this Kent Classic offers something for everyone!  The festivities begin with a Kids Fun Run @ 11:15 AM followed by the 5 mile run / walk @ noon. The spectator friendly, USATF certified course starts and finishes at Kent Green in front of Town Hall.  Join the festivities at the start /finish area - Music, Refreshments (including Billy's famous Pumpkin Soup!), Face Painting, Halloween fun and much more.  Post Race party for all!

Here's your chance to win the Race's Official Pace Car!  Not only will the 36th running of the Kent Pumpkin Run be led by the Official Pace Car ~ a Classic 2001 Chevrolet Corvette Sports Car ~ but runners will have the opportunity to win the car!  The Kent Chamber of Commerce has partnered with the Kent Memorial Library to promote the organization's Annual Car Raffle.

In addition to the traditional prize  money, the top male and female finishers will be awarded complimentary entries in the raffle, courtesy of the Kent Chamber of Commerce.  The drawing for the Corvette will take place at 2:00 PM on race day  in conjunction with the Race's awards ceremony.

Raffle tickets are available at the Kent Memorial Library for $20 each.  The car is on display outside of the library each weekend.  Proceeds go to support the library's annual operating budget and make an important contribution since the Kent Memorial Library is responsible for raising over 70% of its annual budget.

Conquer the Cobble . . . .  In A Costume!   Last year's race witnessed a record number of costume-clad runners.  We're looking to build upon that success this year by encouraging runners to wear a costume.  If your "not so blistering pace" isn't fast enough to land you a spot on the podium, your creativity just may be the ticket.  In celebration of our 36th running, we plan to recognize the most creative costume-clad runners at our Awards Ceremony.  In addition, a variety of gift certificates, courtesy of local merchants, will be awarded.

Help Support the Kent Food Bank!   We encourage all participants and spectators to bring non-perishable donations to support the great work of our Official Charitable Beneficiary ~ the Kent Food Bank ~ as they prepare for their busiest time of year.  Donations can be dropped off at the Davis IGA or Kent Wine & Spirit during Race Week  ~ or at the start/finish area on Race Day.  Thanks for your generous support!

The "Pumpkin Pursuit" ~ We are accepting entries for our annual Race Within The Race.  We're looking for a runner who can clock a sub 8 minute/mile pace and is interested in being chased by over 500 runners while wearing a "target" on your back!  You'll get a head start of 2 minutes on the rest of the field. Every runner that catches and passes you before the Finish Line receives a pumpkin!

As a thank you, you'll receive a special prize at the Awards Ceremony and a complimentary entry to next year's Race.  To apply, submit an email to info@kentpumpkinrun.com.
