Join us at 6:30 pm on Thursday August 2nd at the offices of Union Square Ventures for a discussion on online community development and engagement.
In the spirit of our favorite women's conference, which kicks off in NYC on Thursday morning, we have gathered a panel of strong female bloggers and community managers from Mashable, Kickstarter, Foursquare and HybridHer.
We'll start with a quick intro from each of our panelists before diving into some specific questions about how each of them enagage the community the manage, followed by a moderated Q/A with the audience. After the discussion, we invite you to stick around and mingle. Members of the Disqus team will also be on hand in case you have any questions about using Disqus to connect with your community!
Disqus will help facilitate and provide light food and drinks. We are pleased to announce that proceeds will be split between two fantastic organizations working to empower girls and women in fields of technology and engineering.
Those organizations are:
- Girls Who Code (http://www.girlswhocode.com), “a new organization working to educate, inspire and equip 13- to 17-year-old girls with the skills and resources to pursue opportunities in technology and engineering.”
- Girls in Tech (http://www.girlsintech.org), "an organization focused on women's innovative and entrepreneurial achievements in technology."
