Event Details

Emil Sodersten’s work has been encapsulated as a “fusion of traditional and modern vision, a resolution of decoration and technology, expression and function”.

His work has been described as “an architecture of exuberance and imagination and above all a popular architecture that related directly to the values of its users”[1].

A talk by Dr Roy Lumby B Arch., M Arch. M.ICOMOS.

Admission is Free.

The talk will commence at 7:45 pm after the formalities of the Society Annual General Meeting have been completed. We are committed to ensuring the AGM formalities are dealt with in a timely fashion in order to move onto the presentation.

Tusculum is a ten minute walk from Kings Cross Railway Station. Wilson Parking has a site on the eastern side of Fitzroy Gardens, with the entrance opposite the Police Station on Ward Avenue.
