Event Details
Join our panel where female tech founders will discuss keys to success, opportunities and challenges in starting and running successful startups and companies. We'll discuss creating the idea (just launch it lean or pitch it first), meeting with investors, using VC or Visa capital, building your team (developers, biz dev, sales, marketing), doing deals with partners, and marketing and social media. All of the speakers participated in our Silicon Beach Fest and several were featured in the Forbes article (see below). Cash bar, standard hotel valet parking rates.
Scheduled Speakers (so far, more to be added):
Holden Steinberg, PageWoo, Co-Founder. PageWoo provides full circle mobile performance advertising, including tools that let users use web browser tools to build simple mobile landing pages with clear calls to action that increase mobile click-thru rates. Holden helped organized the Silicon Beach Fest Hackathon with more than 100 developers and $50K in prizes, and designed the SBF website. @PageWoo @holdicon
Amanda MacNaughton, PromoJam, Co-Founder and CMO. PromoJam is a leading enterprise social marketing platform that provides businesses a full suite of tools to easily build, launch, track, and promote social media promotions. Clients include: NBC Universal, North Face, Clear Channel Radio, Warner Bros Pictures, Justin Bieber, Rihanna and Pearl Jam. Sophia Viklund, BackCode, Founder. BackCode specializes in game & web application development. Sophia is a professional developer, speaker and educator. She is one of the founders of PyLadies, dedicated to educating women using the Python programming language and a co-organizer of the LA Unity3D User Group. Sophia spoke on the Silicon Beach Fest - Developers panel at the Google Venice offices. @BackCode
Heather Mason, A Caspian Production, President and Owner. She founded the company in 2005 to produce conferences for the innovative business space, utilizing her film and marketing background while working at Fox studios and film festivals (Sundance and Cannes), project management at the Olympics, and high tech and consumer services work. She is on the Social Media Week LA Advisory Board, the San Diego Zoo Biomimicry Board of Advisors and the CORO Board of Directors. @ACaspian
