The Talk About Town: Urban Lives & Oral Sources in 20th Century Australia

Wednesday 26 August 2009 from 3pm - 5pm

Melbourne Story at Melbourne Museum presents a history of Melbourne told through personal and public stories, objects, immersive environments and AV. The exhibition, opened in March 2008, was developed by curatorial staff in consultation with academic historians. The tour will be led by Charlotte Smith, one of the curators of the exhibition. After an initial overview that addresses the rationale and structure of the exhibition, Charlotte will identify a few key stories within the exhibition. There will be time for visitors to explore the exhibition after the tour
