This 9am-4pm Saturday workshop will feature three photo specialties, with a candid talk about the field and its challenges as well as a demonstration with Q&A. We will feature:

• Product Photography with Lon Atkinson
  Lon will demonstrate simple, yet effective product photography using tools, lighting and propping devices that you can make yourself or is easily acquired. He will explain the workflow from concept to finished image through the eyes of the product stylist, photographer and digital artist.
• Fashion Photography with William Morton
  William demonstrates his experience working with models to highlight fashion (as well as the model). Different styles of fashion will be highlighted, with a demonstration of the effects on different fabrics and textures. A professional makeup artist and a stylist will discuss their inputs to the finished product, and how the team works together to achieve the look the designer demands.
• Sports Photography with Stan Liu.
  The sports photography genre and its markets will be discussed. The class will head outside to see a demonstration, catching the action from unique angles, and controlling lighting even in bright sunlight. A review of the images captured will illustrate the concept of a photographer creating his image in any environment.

This event will be hosted at Atkinson! Studios. Registration begins at 8:30am with the workshop to start at 9:00am. The address is 9550 Chesapeake Drive, Suite 203, San Diego.
