Event Details

This is a party with a purpose!

NFCA is hosting Chez Gourmet: Gluten-Free Meets Haute Cuisine on October 18, 2012, from 6:30 until 9 pm.

This intimate event held in a spectacular art-filled private home will honor Dr. Keith Laskin and the Celiac Center at Paoli Hospital - the first Philadelphia area community medical center to focus on celiac disease.

Fabulous gluten-free food will be accompanied by wine tasting and offerings of gluten-free spirits. A cooking demonstration by a renowned area chef will whet your appetite and spark your lown creativity.

Outstanding and unusual auction items will tempt you, including an unforgettable 5 days/4 nights on safari in the exclusive Ongava Game Reserve  located next to Etosha National Park in Namibia.

Our good time is aimed at giving good health to those who suffer from undiagnosed celiac disease.  We look forward to seeing you at the party!

Celiac disease is an autoimmune digestive disease that damages the small intestine and interferes with absorption of nutrients from food. Left untreated, people with celiac disease can develop further complications such as other autoimmune diseases, and some cancers. 1 in 133 Americans have celiac disease, but over 95% live undiagnosed.

The only known treatment for celiac disease is a lifelong adherence to a gluten-free diet.
