FRIDAY: TRANSITION TO COLLEGE DISCUSSION IS FREE TO PAID PLAYERS AND PARENTS. WILL INCLUDE LECTURE ON WHAT RECRUITERS LOOK FOR, SOCIAL MEDIA, NEW NCAA ACADEMIC STANDARDS, AND MORE. LECTURE-ONLY COST $25.00 TO A PARENT OR COACH OF A NON PARTICIPATING PLAYER.

SATURDAY: PLAYERS WILL BE MEASURED IN IMPORTANT AREAS SUCH AS HEIGHT, WEIGHT, WINGSPAN, BROAD JUMP, AND VERTICAL JUMP. PLAYERS WILL THEN GO THROUGH A SERIES OF SHOOTING, DRIBBLING, & REBOUNDING BASKETBALL STATIONS. SCRIMMAGES WILL BE PLAYED IN FRONT OF COLLEGE COACHES AND TALENT EVALUATORS. THE EVENT WILL INCLUDE WRITE-UPS FROM MEDIA/SCOUTING OUTLETS SUCH AS MARYLANDHOOPS.NET, RIVALS, HOOP GROUP, CAPITOL HOOPS, DMV ELITE, AND MORE.

EXPOSURE: EVENT WILL BE STREAMED LIVE FOR ALL TO VIEW FOR FREE

The DSP/MDHoops.net Fall 2012 Basketball Showcase will be an excellent opportunity for players to gain exposure as they play in front of Division II and III college coaches, as well as popular media outlets and scouting services. Division II and III coaches will be in attendance to evaluate players and identify recruiting targets. Additionally, the event will be filmed so that each player can have video to send to any interested college or university. The event will also be covered by various media outlets. MarylandHoops.net will lead the coverage with multiple staff members evaluating, ranking, and reporting on top performers. Additionally, representatives from Rivals, CapitolHoops.com, DMVElite.com, Hoop Group, The Baltimore Sun, and several additional media outlets are expected to attend. Being that the DSP/MDHoops.net Fall Showcase is planned for a 120-players maximum (40 per group), this event will be a great time for these media outlets to get an extremely close look at participants. At this event headshots will be taken of all players and posted on DSP, LLC. and MarylandHoops.net websites.
