Event Details

Todd Schroeder, our namesake, returns for another fanstastic show at Schroeder's. Todd is like having Elton John, Billy Joel, and Ray Charles all on the same night. He and his music make for a truly unforgettable evening! Todd, a PianoMan/Composer/Musical Director/Conductor, performs an eclectic mix of standards, pop, and his own compositions which will give you a glimpse of his dazzling talents. Todd Schroeder started playing piano at the age of four. Growing up in a musical family, he was introduced to everything from Claude Debussy to Neil Diamond, from Ray Charles to Elton John, but what he remembers most is discovering, at the age of eight, the honky-tonk piano playing of Jerry Lee Lewis. For Schroeder, this variety of musical influences has produced a variety of musical accomplishments as a composer, producer, arranger, musical director and performer. Playing piano remains Schroeder’s first love. He has performed recently with the Boston Pops and on the Oprah Winfrey show. He has also appeared at the White House and Carnegie Hall. As an accomplished composer, his original music is featured in film and television. He has written and produced two original CDs entitled "Living My Dream" and "Searching". He has also recorded a critically acclaimed CD "Songs my Father Taught Me", a compilation of piano-only versions of the standards from the 1940s and 1950s. His newest CD "Requests" features Todd singing the songs that were always requested when he played the club circuit across America and Japan. Now living in Los Angeles, Schroeder conducts and arranges for such artists as Angela Lansbury, Sam Harris, Jason Alexander, Rita Coolidge and for five years with the late Nell Carter. He also serves as a musical director and consultant for the Walt Disney Corporation, Universal Studios, and Paramount Studios to name a few. In addition to being involved in many charity events throughout the year, he is the founder and producer of the Todd Schroeder Young Artist Grant, an annual scholarship presented to students pursuing a career in the arts.
