"As Long as I'm Singing" is a brand new show featuring the great songwriting talents of Irving Berlin, Johnny Mercer, Hoagy Carmichael, Harold Arlen and others. Vocalist Sandy Campbell and musical director/accompanist G. Scott Lacy are joined by a crackerjack combo of Dave Rumley on drums, Patrick Marion on bass and Ric Ogden on guitar, sax, flute and everything else. Audiences will be delighted by this eclectic evening of songs from the Great American Songbook and the contemporary musical theater. Actor/singer Sandy Campbell has appeared at numerous theaters across Southern California, performing in a wide variety of musical and non-musical productions and developing a strong list of credits, including many of the seminal soprano roles in the musical theatre canon. Credits include Zhivago at the La Jolla Playhouse directed by multi Tony Award winner Des McAnuff, Into the Woods (Cinderella) and Annie (Grace Farrell) for Starlight Musical Theatre; Sweeney Todd (Johanna) for the Fritz Theatre; Falsettos (Cordelia) for Diversionary Theatre; West Side Story (María), The Spitfire Grill (Shelby), Ragtime (Ensemble, Mother u/s), She Loves Me (Amalia), Lost in Yonkers (Bella), The Mystery of Edwin Drood (Rosa Bud), The Secret Garden (Rose Lennox), and Fiddler on the Roof (Hodel) for Moonlight Stage Productions; Nunsense (Sister Mary Amnesia), Grease (Frenchy), Side By Side By Sondheim and Stepping Out for Limon-Carr Productions; Man of La Mancha (Aldonza), The Batting Cage (Julianna) and Marry Me a Little at North Coast Repertory Theatre and Lips Together, Teeth Apart (Sally) and Jason Robert Brown’s Songs For a New World for Actors Asylum Productions. She has also appeared as Marian in The Music Man, Anne in A Little Night Music, Guenevere in Camelot, Louise in Gypsy, Sarah in Guys and Dolls, Lizzie in Baby and Rosemary in How to Succeed in Business… . Sandy is an Associate Artist with Lamb’s Players Theatre where she has performed in 1776 (Abigail), American Rhythm and six Festival of Christmas productions. In addition to her dramatic work, Sandy has an established profile as one of San Diego's premiere vocalists. With musical director G. Scott Lacy, she has developed two cabaret shows of her own: And I'll Be There: Songs of Love and Friendship, which premiered at North Coast Repertory Theatre in October 2003, and The Stories Go On, which has received considerable audience acclaim in several engagements in the San Diego area. June 2005 saw the release of their first studio recording, CRAZY WORLD, produced and engineered by Eric Wilcox for TriTone Music Productions and released by Azahara Entertainment. As a guest vocalist, Sandy appeared as Anne Bronte in the concert version of the Steve Gunderson musical The Brontes, a production of the San Diego Ballet. Other concert and cabaret credits include Sunday in the Park with Sondheim and Totally Tonys! for Outcast Productions and The Greatest Songs You’ve Never Heard, a Joseph Grienenberger production. G. Scott Lacy is one of Southern California’s most sought after musical directors and performers. He is a member of the artistic ensemble for the award winning Lamb’s Players Theatre where he musical directed Quilters, An American Christmas, Festival of Christmas, Pump Boys and Dinettes, Amadeus (sound design) and the critically acclaimed production of Sondheim’s Into The Woods. Most recently, he musical directed Sondheim’s MERRILY WE ROLL ALONG for the Musical Theatre Guild of Los Angeles. After MERRILY, he will return to San Diego to musical direct An American Christmas and The Secret Garden (2007), for Lamb’s Players Theatre. Mr. Lacy has worked extensively for the Tony Award-Winning La Jolla Playhouse where he has served as Music Director for Our Town (directed by Tony-Nominee Michael Greif (Rent)), Vocal Coach for the 50th Anniversary Production of Moss Hart’s Light Up The Sky (directed by Neel Keller), Vocal Coach/Arranger for Oo-blah-dee (Written and Directed by Regina Taylor (Crowns, television’s I’ll Fly Away)), Vocal Coach for the World Premier Hit Comedy DIVA, Singing Coach for the World Premier of the Charles Mee Comedy Wintertime, Musical Director for the 2003 POP Tour The Breeze, The Gust, The Gale and The Wind written by Hilly Hicks Jr., Singing Coach for the Premier of Beauty (Directed by Tina Landau), Musical Director for the 2004 Pop Tour Guitar and Musical Director for the 2005 Pop Tour Bay And The Spectacles Of Doom! (Written by Julia Cho). Mr. Lacy also served in other musical capacities on Jane Eyre, Tartuffe and Palm Beach: The Screwball Musical. He has served as musical director/vocal coach for San Diego Opera, Diversionary Theatre (Falsetto’s, 2003 Robby Award Nomination), North Coast Repertory Theatre (Man of La Mancha, The Last Five Years), San Diego Repertory Theatre (A Christmas Carol), The Green Room Theatre Company (Closer Than Ever, Polyester), La Jolla Stage Company(Godspell, The Secret Garden, Chess, Annie, Willows), Appel….Presents, the Emmy-winning Malashock Dance Company, University of California San Diego Theatre Department, San Diego State University’s Opera Theatre Program and SDSU’s Department of Theatre. Mr. Lacy has had the honor of working with the late Film and Stage Legend John Raitt (Oklahoma, Carousel), Golden-Globe Award Winning Actress Susan Blakely (Rich Man, Poor Man, Airport ’79), Tony Award Winning Actor Hal Linden (Barney Miller, Cabaret, Tale Of The Allergist’s Wife), Tony Award Winning Actress Cady Huffman (The Producer’s, The Will Roger’s Follies), Emily Bergl (ABC’s Men in Threes, Carrie 2:The Rage, Stephen Spielberg’s Taken), Cheryl Freeman (The Who’s Tommy, Play On, FAME), Pop Singer/Composer Duncan Sheik, and International Opera Stars Giorgio Tozzi and Marilyn Horne. As a performer, Mr. Lacy has appeared in regional productions of Songs For A New World, Closer Than Ever, Godspell, Boomers, Into The Woods, Hello, Dolly!, How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying, The Marriage Of Figaro, Gianni Schicci, The Lion In Winter, Love Letters and An American Christmas. He has also performed numerous one-man shows throughout California raising thousands of dollars for various charitable organizations. Mr. Lacy also serves as musical director for cabaret artists Sandy Campbell and Angelo d’Agostino. He and Mrs. Campbell recorded their debut album last year title, “Crazy World” which has won rave reviews. Mr. Lacy and Mr. d’Agostino continue to create huge applause wherever they play and performed a sold-out Charity Performance of their show, Lush Life, in Atlanta, Georgia in April 2006 which will be released as a live CD recording. As a teaching artist, Mr. Lacy serves as the Vocal Coach for the La Jolla Playhouse’s Summer Conservatory Program. It is a six week program designed to train the future theatre artists of America. He also serves as the vocal coach for the San Diego Opera’s Two Week Summer Intensive Program for Singers. He served as the Musical Director for the San Diego Opera/La Jolla Playhouse partnership program Words and Music (WAM). This program sends the artist(s) into elementary and middle schools to teach the students literacy through the arts. This is a dynamic and successful program that Mr. Lacy co-developed the curriculum for with fellow teaching artist and well-known Opera/Theatre director Cynthia Stokes. Mr. Lacy also served as a musical director for the San Diego Opera’s Opera For Kids By Kids Outreach Program. In addition to his theatrical work, Mr. Lacy sings with the acclaimed group, FOUR IN FAITH and tours raising money for various charitable organizations including Outreach International, Habitat For Humanity, The Guatemala Project and People For People. FOUR IN FAITH has recorded two successful cd’s, The Gathering and Lord, We Praise You. Mr. Lacy also served as musical director/pianist/vocalist on five other recording projects and released is own solo recording, A Quiet Place. Mr. Lacy is currently the musical consultant for Canum Entertainment, developing new theatrical and musical works for the company. Mr. Lacy is also a successful vocal coach and his students have appeared in the Broadway and National Tour productions of The Producers, Steel Pier, Chicago, Phantom Of the Opera, Rent, Mamma Mia and many others. His students also attend such prestigious universities as NYU, Harvard, North Carolina School of the Arts and Sarah Lawrence. Schroeder's Club and Cabaret



Our intimate New York-style venue is the only cabaret in San Diego! Schroeder's is patterned after the cabaret clubs in New York, LA and San Francisco and has a comfortable, inviting ambiance complete with professional lighting and sound, a baby grand piano and candlelit tables. Schroeder's showcases the vocalists and the accompanist in a unique and intimate setting in the tradition of the cabarets and nightclubs popular in the 1920s - 1960s. Food and drinks are available in the Westin Sports Bar before and after the performance. Past performers have included Andrea Marcovicci, Sam Harris and Maude Maggart as well as local performers including Leigh Scarritt, Danielle Forsgren, Rayme Sciaroni, Eileen Bowman & Ric Henry, Phil Johnson, Debra Wanger, Bettina "Pixie" Warren, Melinda Gilb & Steve Gunderson, and Ole Kittleson and Priscilla Allen to name a few. The Cabaret is named for Todd Schroeder who is a singer/songwriter and musical director/accompanist. Todd is currently the musical director for Sam Harris, Angela Lansbury and Jason Alexander.
