Course Description

Are you looking for advancement or more recognition at work?  Are you returning to work after time out (perhaps to bring up children) and maybe dreading the thought of giving a presentation?

Do you need to make your voice heard in meetings - of whatever kind? Or do you simply want to make communication in your daily life as effective as you can? 

This is a one day course designed to boost confidence and help you feel better placed to influence events.  You’ll be looking at ways to extend your range of communication tools so you can meet all sorts of different situations appropriately, inventively and productively.  A day full of helpful tips and techniques and some fun, practical exercises.

There will be a workshop feel to the day and plenty of time to bring up specific issues, which may well resonate with others in the room.

By the end of the day you’ll be better placed to conquer nerves in order to communicate effectively (without being either aggressive or a push-over), to enjoy the challenge of winning people over and to achieve the practical outcomes you’re after.

Tutor details

Rosalind Adler read Modern Languages at Cambridge and then trained as an actress. 

She has worked in theatre since then, ranging from West End runs to stand-up comedy and plays in repertory theatres all over England.

She’s also a writer.  Both her one-woman, multi-charactered plays JUBILATE! And LOL have won awards.  She also writes playlets as icebreakers for conferences and events.

In the mid-nineties she studied for a post-graduate diploma in Voice Studies at the Central School of Speech and Drama and now also works as a freelance Communication Skills coach.

Clients come from both the private and public sectors, including The National Gallery, The Electoral Commission, The Financial Services Authority and Richmond, Islington, Hackney, Camden and Ealing Councils in London.
