Event Details

 

Football must be filled a week in advance.

The pass Gate list is due very early at OSU Stadium.

Please sign up early.

Game times subject to change.

 

 

By signing up, you acknowledge you have read and agree with the following:

 

Sign-up notes:

  • Event times listed are subject to change 
  • Arrival times will vary by event and assigned task 
  • Arrival times could be four hours prior to event for some positions
  • Compensation is hourly based on hours worked & may be combined with another event the same day
  • Must be 16 years of age to work 
  • Max of 2 minors per event  - can only work as a Help Cook or cashier
  • To be fair, please sign up only one person per family to work until the event time is near
  • RSA fundraising reserves the right to remove anyone from the list as needed or required for staffing levels or fairness
  • Valid photo id required at check-in

 Changes and cancellations:

  • If you need to cancel, you must find your own replacement
  • Canceling without providing a replacement:: $50,00 charge (2nd time: loss of fundraising privileges also)
  • No show / no call: $50.00 charge and loss of fundraising privileges
  • A minor cannot replace an adult worker
  • Notify Tyler Walker of any changes
  • If staffing levels change, more positions may become available or may be dissolved

 Waitlist:

  • If the event is full, an option for joining the Waitlist will be available
  • Sign-up for the Waitlist only of you can commit to work should a position become available
  • If you are on the Waitlist and a position becomes available, you will be scheduled, if needed.
  • Take clothes for dress code to work or leave them in your car so you are prepared if a position opens up
  • Waitlist scheduling will be in order of sign-up date/time while also taking into consideration the position available
  • If you are on the Waitlist and decide to work in place of a scheduled worker, please let Tyler Walker know.
  • If you do not want to commit to work the event should position(s) open up, do not add yourself to the Waitlist.

 Dress code:

  • Pants: Black pants - no capri style, stretch pants or denim, no low waistline
  • White Polo (must have sleeves & collar, OSU logo is acceptable, no other logos or print), must be tucked in and worn when in the stand - no exceptions
  • Hat: Black Sodexo OSU hat only - must be worn facing frontward - must purchase for $5.00
  • Apron: Provided for cooks by Sodexo for each event
  • Shoes: Skid resistant; tennis shoes work best; no open toe or heel;  no canvas  shoes; no crocks style shoes
  • Sodexo may fine or remove workers fr dress code violations and may also fine the group

 Parking and Entering the Arena:

  • There will be traffic - leave ample time for arrival, parking & check-in (must be in booth by scheduled time)
  • The parking lot for events vary by event - Refer to the stand assignment email for specific event parking
  • Some events will not specify parking and it is up to you to find a spot
  • Do not leave valuables in your car. OSU, Sodexo and RSA are not responsible for damage and/or theft
  • Enter the stadium at the gate specified on the stand assignment email
  • Security person will check your name off the RSA list
  • Valid photo id required for everyone, including teens
  • Proceed to stand (Sodexo staff can direct you) - Lead needs to report to the office first

During the Event:

  • Please treat each customer how you would like to be treated as a customer yourself - and spending your money
  • Register workers are to be facing the register (not with backs to registers talking and socializing)
  • Happy customers return to our stand and spend more money (we are paid on commission, so keep them happy)
  • Wash hands often (wear food service gloves as necessary and required)
  • No cell phones or texting inside the booth (if you must take a call, let the booth lead know and leave the stand)
  • No eating or drinking in the stand (this is prohibited by the Health Department)
  • Breaks will be scheduled and given by the Booth Lead
  • One ten minute break per 4 hours scheduled (taken anytime during your work time as approved by the booth lead)
  • Maximum of 2 people on break at a time if staffing is above six (if six or less, then one at a time)
  • Breaks are for resting, eating, smoking and phone calls
  • Be sure to remove your apron anytime you leave the booth
  • For your own protection, if possible, do not bring your own cash to the event.

 End of event:

  • Everyone must participate in cleaning and end of event duties
  • Lead will coordinate cleaning and end of event tasks/duties
  • Lead is responsible for signing workers in and out on RSA Sign-in form

IMPORTANT (for everytime, but for sure Saturday 9/15:
Make sure you have proper attire, hats, hair pulled back, non-slip closed shoes, etc.
There will be OSU management walking around OSU this weekend. 
The sodexo contract is up for bid.
Groups working need to show they are top notch - not only for Sodexo, who pays us, but to make sure we would be considered if another company wins the contract.

Happenings for this game:

Sodexo's contract for food service at OSU expires June 2013. The contract has gone out to bid and 20 different food service companies will be at the September 15 game to observe the operations. Vikki wants all NPO groups to shine and be noticed by these prospects, so that you may continue fundraising with OSU if Sodexo does not maintain the contract. 
 

 

There will be heavy traffic. Please leave plenty of time for traffic, parking, walking to venue, check-in and walking to the stand. Arrival time is in-stand time.

OSU Football

 

Parking: Each week we will be giving parking passes to those carpooling. The more in the car, the higher you are on the list to receive a pass. There are only 1-2 available per game. If you have a parking pass, you still need to arrive early as it fills up (there are more passes than parking spots). Passes are for the small lot on the west site of the Schottenstein center. It is a long walk to the football stadium. The other lot is at the 315N Medical Center Drive Exit (lot just to the north of the exit ramp). It is not guaranteed that it will be free for Sodexo workers, but it has been every year so far. This lot fills up quickly.  Wherever you park, leave plenty of time to find a spot and walking to the stadium.

 

No shows are charged $50 (Boosters is charged by OSU). Check-in closes before gates open, so you must be checked in or you will not be allowed to enter the stadium. Your arrival time is before gates open, so be on time arriving at the stadium and you will be fine.

 

Arrival times are "in stand" times.

 

Dress Code: See event notes (link above) for dress code. There is a violation fee of up to $50 for dress code violations imposed by OSU. You must be in dress code before checking in. 

 

Check-in: Check in at the tables at Gate 37 (South end, under scoreboard). Give them our group name (RSA or Rock Solid). Your name will be on the list. You will need to show a picture ID.

 

DO NOT forget your ID. 

 

All teens working without parents must have a Indemnify form signed by their parent at check in.

OSU Stadium is a Zero Waste Facility.

This means that everything is either recycled or composted.

  • Compost & Recycling cannot be left in the concourse - it must be taken to the bins for disposal.
  • All bags of recycle items are to be placed in the bins on A-Deck only
  • Recycle and Compost Cans on the concourse are for Fans – Not Groups – Use bins on A-Deck
  • When placing compost in the bins, remove all food from bags and foil wrappers.
  • Do not throw card board boxes or foil pans in the compost bins.
  • All boxes are to go in the compactor outside the office – not on the concourse or in bins
  • Cheese bags go in the recycle bin - not compost.
  • Leftover food which can still can be eaten must be taken to the kitchen area for Second Serving.  

Ice Bags: Remove staple before dumping ice into bins. We don't want to be the cause of someone choking or ingesting a staple. A customer had a staple in their drink at the first game.

 

Note: I have in times as late as possible to keep hours down and pay per hour up. Because of this, there is no room to be late. Please arrive in stand by your assigned time.
