Water Quality Monitoring Information
Who: Volunteers of all ages are welcome; minors under 18 require a signed waiver and children under 12 require an accompanying adult.
What:Starting with McClellan Ranch we will visit nine sites on Stevens and Permanente Creeks to gather data on pH, temperature, dissolved oxygen, specific conductance and turbidity. We carpool from McClellan to the other sites; you do need to arrange for your own transportation. We generally finish with the upper watershed by about 11:00 and the lower watershed by 1:00. No experience is needed – we will train you.
When: Sunday, July 15, from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. Please arrive on time as we will leave McClellan Ranch at about 9:15 and carpool to the other sites on Stevens and Permanente Creeks.
Where: Meet at McClellan Ranch Preserve, 22221 McClellan Road in Cupertino
Please bring: A reusable water bottle and a snack if needed. Please wear comfy shoes and dress appropriately for the weather. You will not be getting into the creek.
Minors under 18 must bring a waiver form signed by a parent.
