Where Projects meet Operations...The Critical Success Factors to ensure successful implementation of Projects into Operations.

-----

Today's IT operational environment can be chaos, the conflicting challenges of maintaining, stable, cost efficient and overhead light operational environment can frequently conflict with the demands of ensuring that the business IT requirements are met and changes rapidly and efficiently implemented. New Technology, New applications, Compliance can all pose threats to operational stability.

In this session Eileen Fitzgerald will discuss the differentiation between Project procedures and operational procedures, we shall look at where they two overlap and how if managed incorrectly they can result in conflict but if managed correctly can enhance productivity, efficiency and greatly speed up the change management process.

And just for added value we shall look at Service Strategy and ITIL and discuss how some of the Key points of ITIL are relevant to project management and operational procedures.

Considering the cloud

SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, Public, Private, Hybrid. There are a lot of clouds now and they are definitely 'cool' but after the hype has settled, what are the reasons for migrating to cloud services, what research and planning is required and what are the pitfalls? In this 'cloud agnostic' session we will review the drivers or drawbacks to your business in seeking a cloud solution to your problems.
