Experience the Zen choreography of a simple cup of tea!


A great way to relax into your weekend  --  the magic of Chanoyu, the Japanese Tea Ceremony.  Urasenke tea masters Kimika Soko Takechi and Larry Sokyo Tiscornia will present the history of Chanoyu. Kimiko will conduct the beautiful and mindful ceremony of preparing a bowl of matcha (powdered green tea).   A traditional Japanese sweet and taste of tea will be served.


The evening begins at 7:00 pm with a guided walking meditation to  Golden Gate Park, followed by refreshments. Talk, demonstration and tasting begin at 8:00 pm.
