If you are considering applying for admission to our Master’s program, you are urged to join us.

Programs discussed:

Accelerated Full-time Program:
Spring start only. Designed for outstanding students prepared to participate in an intensive, 18-month learning experience. The method of Clinical Practice with Individuals and Families is the only method available.

Accelerated OYR Program:

Designed for outstanding students prepared to participate in an intensive, 24-month learning program of 60 credits.  The major focus is the method of Clinical Practice with Individuals and Families. Applicants must have completed a minimum of two years of full time work experience as a direct care provider or supervisor at a social services agency, at the time of the application deadline. The applicant’s agency must also agree to provide a reduced work schedule and a field placement site at time of application.

Two-year Full Time Program:
Fall start only. For students who can devote themselves to full-time academic and field study. One Year Residency (OYR) work-study Program:
Fall start only. Applicants must have completed a minimum of two years of full time work experience as a direct care provider or supervisor at the time of the application deadline. The applicant’s agency must also agree to provide a reduced work schedule and a field placement site at time of application.

OYR (One Year Residency) program:

Applicants must have completed a minimum of two years of full time work experience as a direct care provider or supervisor at a social services agency, at the time of the application deadline. The applicant’s agency must also agree to provide a reduced work schedule and a field placement site at time of application.

Advanced Standing Program:
For students who have attained the BSW degree from an accredited (CSWE) school of social work within the last 5 years.

Dual Degree Program, Silberman School of Social Work and Bank Street College of Education (MSW and Masters in Education):
Fall start only. Prepares social workers to understand and work with the special needs and vulnerabilities of children from birth to age three and their families.
