When the Dutch expanded their empire to Indonesia, they were enchanted by the native cuisine it discovered. Excited by this new world of creative cooking, their appetites increased, and so to the number of dishes at the elaborate table. Thus began the birth of the Rijsttafel, which highlights the various delicacies. The Rijsttafel was brought to The Netherlands, and now this fascinating culinary event in all it's glory, can be enjoyed by you -- right here in Chicago.
For the people who are familiar with the Rijsttafel, Chef Chris Reed and his staff expertly recreate the evening experience, that pleasured you in the past. For our newcomers, be ready to embark on a culinary journey, more than 400 years in the making - after which this experience of tasting the numerous and distinct dishes of the Rijsttafel, will safely guarantee that you'll be back for more. At each Rijstafel we have varied the dishes, so you will be introduced to even more Indonesian specialties. Our first two events were very successful and sold-out, so make your reservations early for this delectable culinary experience.
The evening is a ticketed event at $50.00 per person and includes dessert.

beverages are not included. The restaurant Vincent has a full bar.

To ensure a pleasant dining experience and prompt service we require guests to additionally book a reservation through our online booking service. We have added this step to allow guests to choose their time of arrival and indicate friends or family that would like to dine together.
After purchasing your ticket(s) please visit our home page,www.thericetable.com, and click on the "Book A Table" tab. Here you will be able to choose the time of your reservation and how many guests in your party. Please be sure to select Sunday, July 1 when making your reservation.
If you have purchased a ticket(s) via Eventbrite but are however in a larger dinner party it is not necessary to make your own reservation. Just be sure that someone in your party has booked through our website reservation book under one name that everyone in your party will check in under with the complete total number of guests.
