Event Details

The Chesco Grand Prix is series of 8 races scheduled from June 28 through July 6 located throughout Chester County PA, just west of Philadelphia.  This series ends the day before the Iron Hill Twilight Criterium in West Chester.

The Pro/1/2 Men's Criterium races through the whole series are being run as a team event.  You can enter as a team orindividually.  The Road Race and Time Trial do not count toward the G.C.   Each team may field no more than 5 riders each day but you may have as many as  8 riders on a team, to allow for injury and illness.  In addition to the daily prizes there are Team G.C. prizes of $6000.  The G.C. will be determined by International Omnium Rules.  The winner of a race receives 1 point, second place gets 2, 3rd place-3 points and so on.  The Team G.C. will be based on the top 3 riders results from each stage for each team.  Low points are good, high points are bad.  Any rider who doesn't finish a race will receive the same points +1 as the last place finisher on that day.  Any team that finishes less then 3 riders on any day will be assigned the points the same way.   Points +1 as the last place finisher on that day for each rider under 3 that doesn't finish.  If you enter as a team you must have 3 or more.  If you are only going to have 3 or 4 riders on your team it would save you money to register individually.  Pro/1/2 Men may sign up for the whole series on the page titled Chesco Grand Prix Pro/1/2 Men Series Reg.  There is a $200 discount if your register your team before May 31.  There are discounts for indivual series registration too.  It starts at $200 per man and goes to $240 on May 31 and $280 on June 20.
Kennett Square is the final location for the G.C. Battle for the Pro /1/2 category.

The sooner your team registers and gets us details for your team, including a team photo and a list of sponsors and perhaps a paragraph about the team and where you are from, the better chance you will end up in the race program.  We are trying to educate the fans in these towns about bike racing and we want them understand who they are watching.

Each race will immediately follow the previous race!  Start times listed are approximate.  Pay attention to the schedule.
