Join us for an exciting feature presentation from the Co-founder and Creative Director of Kickstarter as we talk Design and People

Charles Alder and Andrew Cornett come to DC from the Kickstarter design team to talk about designing for people.

6:30pm – Pregame

We'll begin promptly at seven-o'clok, but will have plenty of pizza on hand prior to the event, the keg will be tapped and soda/water will be plentiful. Come early, hang-out, relax and get ready for some design inspiration!

7:00pm – nclud, BrowserMedia, Twitter, Oh My: Designing for Everyone

nclud is more than an LLC; it's a culture, it's a philosophy, its a dream come true! It's the idea that design trumps all and with enough passion and drive, anyone can make a difference; make an impact.

For the excited, curious and even the speculative, come out and hear a the story behind the idea that spanned coast to coast and keeps living and inspiring in D.C. Join nclud co-founders Alex Giron and Martin Ringlein as well as BrowserMedia's Kerry Gunther as we talk recent events and the future of everything.

8:00pm – Kickstarter: Designing for People

Charles Adler, Co-founder and Creative Director of Kickstarter, comes down to us from New York City with designer, Andrew Cornett to talk about designing for people. Kickstarter designs products and applications for people to use, value, and hopefully cherish. But as the community of people using their products grow and their own insight and perspective changes, so must their products.

Designing for people is a never ending, never perfecting process of observation and execution. The early days find you running blind on ego, and scale means more perspective and opinion which requires a different approach entirely.

Charles and Andrew will share how the way by which they work has changed over the years and how they’re continually trying to improve.

9:00pm – Eat/Drink/Talk With the Speakers

Join us after the presentation as we keep the conversation going casually over food/drinks.
