Event Details

For Father’s Day, we’ll be frying up a mess of catfish and hush puppies with our bud, Nathan Aldridge and our own Jamie Klotz. We’ll be set up in the street right in front of Beer Table from 11 am – 6 pm and will be serving boxes of fried catfish and hush puppies with cole slaw and Tickle Sauce!   Less significantly (or maybe more, depending on your perspective), we’ll be serving Table Beer on draft from our lovely jockey barrels designed by Nathan Shellkopf (South Slope Woodworks) in a temporary beer garden in the street.  We are taking pre-orders for the fish with the hopes of inspiring some Prospect Park picnic action. We will be offering both adult-sized and kid-sized catfish boxes for $12 and $8 respectively.

* PLEASE NOTE:  Preordered fish boxes will available for pick-up between noon and 1pm.  We cannot guaranty pick-up later than 1pm.

Beer Table

Beer Table is a restaurant in Brooklyn with a passion for serving beer and food together.  It is owned and operated by husband and wife Justin and Tricia Philips.

The food that we prepare at Beer Table is simple. Our menu changes frequently and is meant to be a whimsical base for our unusual beer list. It frequently features ingredients that are naturally preserved, cured, or fermented. We don’t use beer for cooking unless we believe it will truly improve a dish.

A daily menu of seven draft lines and one cask in addition to a daily selection of twenty five bottles makes for enough of a selection to confuse at first glance, then delight.

We look forward to sharing a beer with each of you!
