EASTON MOUNTAIN presents:OUT IN THE WOODS
2nd annual QUEER MUSIC FESTIVAL
Join us for a celebration of LGBT musical talent!
Out in the Woods is a music festival with something for everyone -- part Woodstock, part Tanglewood, part summer picnic -- set in the bucolic Hudson valley.
This is a celebration of GLBT talent and creativity for a wonderful cause -- sustaining support for the LGBT Youth Summer Camp at Easton Mountain.
The festival will take place on August 11, 2012 when an amazing and diverse group of LGBT artists and performers will come together for this all-day event in the beautiful rolling hills of Upstate New York. Featuring the incomparable Justin Vivian Bond as host, the Queer Music Festival will present performances of rock, folk, soul, classical, cabaret and Broadway show tunes by more than a dozen artists!

Easton Mountain Queer Youth Programs

For the last seven years, Easton Mountain has hosted Queer Youth camps bringing together 80 - 100 young adults, many of them disenfranchised youth from NYC and the Boston areas. Teens and young adults come together for a week of community building where they engage in creating their own workshops on leadership training and mentoring to gender identity, race, and homophobia. At Easton Mountain, teens and young adults share their life experiences in a supported and welcoming community.

Easton Mountain Retreat
Easton Mountain is a community, retreat center and sanctuary created by gay men as a gift to the world. In workshops, programs and events we provide opportunities to celebrate, heal, transform, and integrate body, mind and spirit. We offer our land, rich in beauty and wisdom, as home to a community that extends beyond the land. We are a worldwide fellowship of people enriched by our connection to Easton Mountain. This fellowship is a positive force for change in the world.

The stage is almost ready for the this weekend's concert!
CAMPING: ticket holders can pitch a tent for the night for a donation to the Easton Mountain Youth Programs.
FOOD: ticket holders are allowed to bring a cooler with beverages and food. We will also have food and beverages for sale at the event throughout the day. Cash and major credit cards accepted.
