2012 Governor's Conference

on Service & Nonprofit Capacity Building

#INGovConf

2012 Governor's Conference Overview:

Hosted by the Office of Faith-Based and Community Initiatives on behalf of Governor Daniels and the SAVI Community Information System (a program of The Polis Center at IUPUI), this conference will build the capacity of nonprofit, faith-based, and community-based organizations to better fulfill their missions by exchanging best practices, receiving meaningful training, establishing collaborations, and celebrating success stories through the Governor’s Service Awards.

The anticipated attendance for this event is between 200-300 participants. The conference will provide customized sessions that will enable participants to tailor their experience to their own unique needs and networking opportunities abound.

Keynote Speaker:

Tim Miles has used common sense, kindness, and an unquenchable curiosity as tools to help a few hundred businesses to be more successful more quickly. He's founder and head custodian of an odd little communications company, The Imagination Advisory Group which helps owner-operated companies do more with less.

Tim’s consulted businesses in four countries and regularly speaks to companies, conferences and colleges about how to communicate more powerfully, how to escape the pit of mediocrity and how best to let the world see you as you really are … not as you think you should be. He’s the author of the forthcoming Good Company: Making It, Keeping It & Being It and an eBook, Your Customers Like This – a guide to delivering shareworthy customer service. His next book, We All Have Special Needs, will be published in early 2013.
