On Friday June 15, 2012, the Community of Practice on Youth Educational Attainment Partnerships will host a Learning Circle featuring research findings from the Assets Coming Together for Youth Project (ACT for Youth). ACT researchers will present findings from their analysis of customized Census data (1996 – 2006) that highlight spatial inequities on the educational attainment of youth in Toronto. They will then review findings on the resources and assets of youth from a comprehensive survey of 1,700 youth the project conducted in the Jane/Finch community. They will discuss programs and policies that could bridge the gaps their research identified and chart new pathways to opportunity for youth in Toronto’s priority neighbourhoods.
