RONA and DSF Tree Planting in the Rouge

Join the David Suzuki Foundation and RONA with the Friends of the Rouge Watershed for a tree planting day in the Rouge Park on Saturday September 15th.
Enjoy a morning of planting trees to help with the restoration of the park. Bring your own refillable water bottle and litterless lunch. Enjoy an afternoon hike to learn more about what the (future) Rouge National Park has to offer.
Prepare to get dirty and have some fun! Make sure you wear appopriate footwear and clothing for the weather.
Location: Bob Hunter Me morial Park, 7273 14th Ave., Markham (if you are coming across 14th Ave., the entrance to our location is a few hundred metres west of Reesor Rd.)

Here is the schedule for the event:
9:00 - 9:15 – arrival
9:30 - 9:45 – Welcome
9:45 - 10:00 – Split into groups and tree planting demonstration by crew leader
10:00 - 12:30 - Plant Trees!
12:30 - 1:00 - Lunch Break (please BYO litterless lunch and reusable water bottle)
1:00 - 2:30 - Hike guided by FRW staff - enjoy the natural area enhanced by you!
2:30 - Thank you and Departure
