GO! Network Tuesday May 29, 2012 - Focus on Non-Profit for Your Career Transition
Tuesday, May 29, 2012 from 8:00 AM to 11:30 AM (CDT)
Saint Louis, United States
Many of you have told us that you have contemplated a career in the Non-Profit sector as a way to transfer your skills into more meaningful service. The biggest hurdle seems to be how to cross that bridge from the corporate to the non-profit world. For the upcoming GO! Network session on Tuesday, May 29th, we have assembled a panel of St. Louis’ most accomplished non-profit leaders. They represent every facet of non-profit provider, including social service, funding, the arts, consulting and academia. You are in for a treat when you join us to hear from this incredible team of experts, who will share their stories and experiences to help you answer the question of whether a non-profit career is right for you – AND how you make the move.
About our Panel:
Gary Dollar, President and CEO, United Way of Greater St. Louis
Amy Rome, Principal at the Rome Group
Maureen McCarthy, Manager Membership Programs and Operations at St. Louis Zoo
Jan Rasmussen, Chief Development Officer at St. Patrick Center (panel Facilitator)
Dan Sise, Instructor and Community Engagement Manager, Nonprofit Management & Leadership Program, UMSL
As part of this session, you will also learn more about what happens inside The Partnership Center, home to GO! Network since 2009. The executive team of St. Patrick Center – some of whom have their own corporate-to-non-profit stories, will be your guide. You will hear from Tom Etling, Chief Executive Officer; Greg Vogelweid, Chief Operating Officer and Jan Rasmussen, Chief Development Officer. Please join us as we take this opportunity to say thank you to St. Patrick Center for so graciously providing space, supplies and unwavering support to GO! Network for more than three years!
