INTRODUCTION:

Baptist Health in Jacksonville, Florida offers a comprehensive curriculum of childbirth classes in various locations and dates in a three week series or an all-day Saturday "marathon" event! 

In this one day, crash course, you and your partner will increase your confidence in the birthing process as you gain a better understanding of what to expect during labor and birth. This series includes information on preterm labor, epidurals and other options, the partner's role during labor, what to expect in the hospital, comfort measures in labor, Cesarean birth, postpartum care and the basic newborn information.   By learning the essentials taught by experienced childbirth educators, you'll be given the tools to help make the best choices for the birth of your baby.

Note: some breathing and relaxation is included in this class but you will not practice on the floor. For couples desiring a more in-depth Lamaze-type class, please check out the four week natural childbirth series or the supplemental one-night "comfort measures for labor "class.

Expectant parents are encouraged to complete this series between their 34th -37th week so register early as space is limited.

You do not have to be a Baptist Health patient-all are welcome to attend our classes.

CLASS CANCELLATION POLICY:

To accommodate others who may wish to attend this class, we ask that all cancellations be submitted at least 72 hours prior to the start of the class.  If you paid a fee for the event, and you submitted the cancellation notice 72 hours or more prior to the start of the event, you can either apply the class fee to another Baptist Health event or request a refund.  Please submit your cancellation instructions here via Contact the Host.
