Best Practices in Impact Investing
Thursday, September 20, 2012 from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM (PDT)
San Francisco, CA
Learn about the successes, challenges, and opportunities in impact investing. Seasoned impact investing and social entrepreneurship veterans Joy Anderson (Criterion Ventures) and Patrick Gleeson (Meyer Family Enterprises) will discuss the investment landscape – past, present, and future – and share their insight and experience building strong, scalable, successful ventures that generate positive social and environmental impact.
President and Founder
Joy Anderson is Founder and President of Criterion Ventures. The company serves as a think tank around shaping markets to create social and environmental good. Her speaking and thought leadership is focused on the practices of shaping markets, whether that is focused on how the church is both an actor and implicated in the economy, on how legal structures shape the possibilities of enterprises, or a gender lens on investing. As a recognition of her business leadership, in 2011, Joy was ranked 51st in Fast Company's annual 100 Most Creative People in Business.
Meyer Family Enterprises
Patrick Gleeson is the CEO of Meyer Family Enterprises (MFE) based in Napa, California, a position he has held for five years. Meyer Family Enterprises is focused on becoming 100% invested in the impact investment space by 2020.
