Leveraging EQ competencies to enhance well being
This discussion will focus on how the eight competencies of the 6 Seconds EQ Model can be seen as tools to reduce the negative effects of stress and promote overall wellness. These competencies are often practiced to improve relationships at school, at work, or in the family. They can also be called upon to support and enrich the longest relationship of our lives—the relationship with the body.
Participants will gain insight on :
- The interface between EQ and Wellness
- How EQ strengths can be engaged to cope better with stress
- How each EQ competency relates to health and overall well being

This session is part of 24EQ, the first ever global, virtual EQ conference (starting 00:00 GMT-Zulu July 6, and continuing for 24 hours around the world)
Registration is free. Donations are welcome to the Six Seconds' EQ Scholarship Fund, used to provide emotional intelligence certification training to educators who are committed to increasing EQ for the next generation.
Recordings of selected 24EQ sessions are available for two weeks to those who donate over US$ 100 to the scholarship fund. This session will be recorded.
About the Presenter
Dr. Liz Moseley is a Health Psychologist, with special interests in stress management and healthy lifestyle promotion. She also teaches at Pensacola State College, Walden University and Northcentral University. After living in Europe for 20 years she has recently settled in the Florida panhandle where she is happy to be able to garden all year round. She has been associated with 6 Seconds for 10 years.
