Math CCSS 2-day Training, Gr. K-2

We will discuss research related to how young children learn mathematics and examine strategies aligned with that research that support the development of number sense and mathematical reasoning. Bring your textbooks and student materials as we make plans to implement these strategies in your classroom instruction. Four additional days will be scheduled throughout the year. These days will center on strategies and techniques for math instruction, revising the pacing guide and making adjustments to the current instructional materials that will be needed to implement the CCSS. Limited to 35 participants
