Crown Nine: Jewelers and Makers

Jewelry designer Kate Ellen's flagship jewelry store in the heart of historic Old Oakland, the original downtown. Crown Nine is a member of Popuphood, a small business incubator revitalizing neighborhoods block by block.

Crown Nine houses a finely curated collection of jewelry and art from local jewelers and makers. Sarah Swell and Aiko designs show alongside Best of the City Jeweler Kate Ellen Metals, each designer offering well crafted unique pieces with enduring style. The three jewelers work in the store and are available for custom, wedding and bridal jewelry consultation.

The store also carries top artists and makers in the bay area with products for the home and body. Type.lites, Jon Carling, DAB, Peasants and Travelers and In Haus Press accompany 25 other artists representing everything from letterpress to one of a kind pieces of original artwork.

Classes, workshops, trunk shows, and fundraisers are an integral part of the mission—as well as giving back to service groups that represent the 9 points of the Crown: Love, Community, Compassion, Justice, Knowledge, Courage, Hope, Perseverance, and Artistic Expression.
