Golden Gate Opera presents “Arias on the Lagoon”

  Sunday June 10 from 3-6pm

This is a Benefit to support Golden Gate Opera's 2012-2013 season and to help to bring live opera to Marin and Bay Area school children.

Schedule: 

3pm - guests arrive to enjoy delicious hors d’oeuvres and wines, mingle with opera fans, calmed in enchanting lagoon-view setting;  

4pm - live  performances of favorite Italian opera selections begin, performed by featured artists, Russian soprano Olga Chernisheva, American Tenor Joe Raymond Meyers accompanied by concert pianist, Temirzhan Yerzhanov.  

Non-profit Status:

Golden Gate Opera is a non-profit benefit corporation, registered with the State of California. Tickets purchases are a tax-deductible donation -  minimum $75 per person or $135 per couple.

About the Program:

Ms. Chernisheva will sing famous arias like "Un Bel Di" from Madama Butterfly, "Vissi D'Arte" from Tosca, "O Patria Mia" from Aida, "O Mio Babbino Caro" from Gianni Schicchi, and Mr. Meyers will perform airas such as "La Donna e Mobile" and "Questa o Quella" from Rigoletto, "Che gelida manina" from "La Boheme; together the pair will perform famous duets from "La Boheme," "La Traviata", "Butterfly" plus surprises. GGO’s General Director, Roberta Wain Becker, will join Ms. Chernisheva in a famous Rossini Duet.

• Family Portrait Photography Session by Joshua Ets-Hokin Photography, 2 available valued at $1350 each. 
• Voice lesson, one hour, taught by Roberta Wain-Becker, 2 available, valued at $100 each.
• Non-speaking part in upcoming operas at Marin Center,  2 available, valued at  $200 each.
