Toronto Carretilla Initiative - June 13 Supper
Wednesday, 13 June 2012 from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM (EDT)
Come cook and eat a meal with the Toronto Carretilla Initiative!
Inspired by international street food, Austrian artist Rainer Prohaska brings people together to collectively prepare and share meals in unexpected locations and through unconventional means. Rainer takes on Toronto’s food scene in this *FREE* event - dispersing mobile kitchen carts throughout the city and assembling them into larger sculptures. The public is invited to collectively prepare, and partake in a meal. The carts will be put together in different ways depending on the requirements of the recipe, and recipes will be delivered in unexpected forms.
You don't need to have cooking experience to take part, as you will be guided by an experienced cook. You do need to be 16 or over. All supplies and equipment will be provided.

Please note that Fort York is also the location for The Encampment, a visual art installation expoloring the civilian toll of the War of 1812. The Encampment is open from 7:30 until 11pm so enjoy your meal and then head through the Fort York gates.
