MULYP is hosting “Fashion is My Passion,” as the second segment of Black History Year. This event will showcase the work of designers who chose fashion icons of the past to model their clothing after. The purpose of the “Black History Month Year Celebration” Series is to host an event that commemorates the outstanding works of historical African-Americans while identifying their successors of today. Fashion has been one of the few things that has transcended time. Over the years there have been quintessential fashion icons that not only shaped trends but defined an era.
