You don’t? You have heard about it but you are not sure why you should consider using it. You hesitate because you think that Scala is complex.
Not necessarily! Let us familiarize you to this productive language by talking about some of its key characteristics and live coding.
We will bring a quick journey into Scala for newcomers and show some practical examples.

Amir is a Java/Scala developer/consultant at Jayway Stockholm with a great passion for programming, computer science and knowledge transfer. He holds a MSc in Distributed Systems and loves to solve problems the distributed way!
Anders is a senior Java/Scala developer/consultant at Jayway Stockholm. Knowing that The Pragmatic Programmer suggest one new programming language per year he thinks it is time for Scala after about 15 years of Java programming!
